Simply take your item/s along with your student card to the front desk in the LRC. A member of the LRC team will then issue your item/s and stamp a date in each to remind you of the date when the item is due back by.

What happens if I have an overdue item of I return it late?

Fines are charged per overdue book at the rate of 10p per day for a two week loan and 20p per day for a 1 week loan.

If you have an overdue item you will be sent sent a letter after 1 week requesting it's return . On the second week (the second letter) you will receive a final notification letter requesting return and you will not from this point be able to borrow anything else. Your LRC computer access will be denied until you have returned the item(s) and the fine has been paid in full. On the third week of the item/s being overdue you will be invoiced the full replacement cost plus an administration fee of £5.00.

Remember you can avoid fines by renewing your books by telephone (if not overdue) or in person.
