How do I join the Learning Resource Centre (LRC)?
Present your student card at the desk and this then becomes your LRC card as well.
How many items can I borrow at once?
Up to five.
How long can I borrow the items for?
Check the spine label. It will be for 1 or 2 weeks.
Do I get charged?
Only if the item is late. 10p per day for a 14 day loan and 20p per day for a 7 day book.

Ask one of the staff, we’re here to help.

Where do I save my work?
The safest place is to save it to My Documents. However you can’t access this at home so it is advisable to also use a data stick, which you can purchase from the LRC desk.
Is there a charge for printing?
There is no charge for black and white. There is a 20p charge for colour.

How do I get onto my Moodle courses?
Please see the step by step guide we have produced. If you need further assistance please ask a member of the LRC team.
Why am I finding it difficult to access Moodle from home?
Moodle looks at the same place the College network does for authentication. First login into the College network requires you to change your password from the initial student number password. The update is then sent to Moodle. This is why it is better to first access Moodle on the College network before accessing from home. There is an email link on the front page of Moodle just under the login box that can be used to report any problems (MoodleAdmin@carlisle.ac.uk), alternatively use our contact form.
